Oceanside, sky gazing, letting ones woes adrift to sea— sight begins to blur and the imagination starts to play —shapes, ideas, new inner landscapes unfold.
In Transposed we invite the viewer to join us in the act of pareidolia; the imagined perception of pattern and meaning where it does not seemingly exist. Where, momentary coastal and horizon lines take on various altered and inverted expressions, and together we explore the unique ways as humans we may creatively interact with nature and our surroundings internally.
Through a process of image layering, combining photographic art and design elements this series is a grouping of stories about imagination and transformation, unique to each viewers personal experience of the work. The resulting photographs are experiences and evidence of vision beyond what the eye can see and the mind creates. Transposed makes tangible imagined inner images of silent personal experiences.
